Addiction Resource Scholarships: It is an essay contest available to your students and visitors. The application is free for everyone. Oneonta Rotary Club Scohlarship:Service Above Self Scholarship Deadline: March 24, 2017

The Blount County High School Class of 1951- 3- $500.00 non-renewable scholarship will be awarded to 3 members of the senior class at Oneonta High School. Selection for the scholarship is based on financial need, active participation and leadership roles, strong character, and a good work ethic. The recipients of this scholarship must provide documentation that he or she has been accepted as a student to Wallace State Community College and plans on taking their classes at the Oneonta Center. Lewis Fortenberry Memorial Scholarship presented by the Oneonta High School Athletic Association-  Seniors at Oneonta High School who has participated in a varsity sport may apply. Applications have been emailed to you and are available from Mrs. Smith Deadline April 1st.

Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund     

Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship: $2,500 Scholarships. Deadline March 31st. The scholarship has been emailed to you. Check out  http://jmscottmemorialfund.org for more information.

Moak and McCartha Scholarship Application- Student must reside in Alabama, must be a senior, parent of student must be employed full time at an Alabama Bankers Association member bank. Minimum GPA 3.0. Minimum ACT score of 20. Must be enrolling in college in the fall of 2017. Application was emailed to you. (Deadline Feb. 8th)

Alabama School Public Relations Association Scholarship:  The candidate must be interested in pursuing a public relations major, communication major or emphasis track at a college within the state of Alabama. The candidate must be a high school junior or senior with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.  Deadline Feb. 10 Scholarship has been emailed to you.

Alabama Home Builders Foundation –Must be enrolling in, or attending, an accredited post-secondary school in Alabama, must be enrolled in a construction-related curriculum.  Deadline March 15. See Mrs. Smith for application.

American Association of Blacks in Energy Scholarship: This organization is dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussion and development of energy policies and regulations.  Scholarships up to $5,000.   See Mrs. Smith for details. Deadline February 3rd.

The Department of Art and Art History at The University of Alabama is pleased to announce its 2017-18 Incoming Student Scholarship competition. We offer scholarships to incoming students who plan on majoring in studio art or art history. The scholarships will be awarded based on the quality of the student's work and are contingent upon the student’s admission to The University of Alabama for the fall semester of 2017. The student must declare a major in art or art history.

 The Coolidge Scholarship- President Coolidge’s Foundation recently established the Coolidge Scholars Program that awards full-ride, four year college scholarships to high school juniors (approx. a $300,000 value).  The scholarships may be used for tuition, room and board, etc. at the college/university of the student’s choice.  There is no restrict on the student’s major or field of study.     https://coolidgescholars.org

Jefferson State Community College  Academic Scholarship -Seniors with a 3.0 GPA and a 22 on the ACT may apply for the this scholarship which covers full tuition.  Deadline March 1.

UAB Alabama Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (ALSAMP) Summer Bridge: To apply students must be an underrepresented minority student accepted to UAB for the fall of 2017, plan to major in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM), have a GPA of 3.0 or greater, and have an ACT of 20 or greater. 6 hours of paid tuition, fees, and books to be used in Summer of 2017. "Alabama Scholarships for Service, Not Just Grades" - A minimum C+ grade average and civic involvement and/or special family responsibility is required. GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship - Deadline January 5, 2017

Linly Heflin Scholarship - Postmarked by January 9, 2017
This is a scholarship that grants four-year scholarships in the amount of $4,000 per year to Alabama women who have both significant economic need and sound academic records.  Requirements include: scholarships restricted to four-year Alabama colleges; minimum 23 ACT score; Alabama resident and U.S. citizen; demonstrated financial need; and academic proficiency.  To read more about the scholarship and access the application, visit www.linlyheflin.org.

"Don't Wait to Reach Your Potential" Scholarship - Deadline January 31, 2017
This scholarship is for college-bound 9th-12th grade students residing in the state of Alabama.  The scholarship does not require specific test scores, GPA, or class ranking.  Parents can also register but must designate a student to receive the award.  In order to be awarded the $1,000 scholarship, you must be a current Countdown to College eNews subscriber at the time of drawing.  The scholarship is sponsored by Potential Magazine, an Alabama-based organization whose mission is to help parents and teens navigate the path to reach their "potential."  To register for this scholarship, click here

The Junior League of Birmingham Academic Scholarships - Deadline March 1, 2017
